Where did you grow up?
I am an Army brat so I grew up everywhere. If I have to name somewhere, I’d say the great state of Texas!
When did you become a member of Omnis CrossFit?
What do you do when you are not at Omnis CrossFit? (Occupation, Hobbies, etc.…)
I work for Social Security Disability so I spend a great amount of time during the week at work. The weekends are generally dedicated to family. We do anything from going to museums, fishing, eating, play hide and go seek, the movies, ect… Monday night is date night.
How did you find out about CrossFit?
A friend did some research on it and told me about it. It sounded better than spending 2 hours at a gym.
When did you realize CrossFit was right for you?
I am not sure, I just keep showing up.
What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Power cleans are my jam! I like the hero WOD DT.
What is you least favorite WOD/movement?
Definitely push-ups, so Cindy is not a WOD I am a big fan of
What would your perfect WOD look like?
A 12 min AMRAP of 5 Hang cleans, 5 shoulder to overhead, 5 pull ups, and 10 wall balls. Barbell weight of 105# for women.
What is one thing that you have done at Omnis CrossFit that you never thought you would do?
Hand stand push-ups, butterfly pull-ups, and being able to squat more than 200#
What motivates you during a CrossFit WOD?
Music and people!
What is something about yourself that we might not know?
I am the most social non-social person ever. I like people, but then I don’t. Just plain weird.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started with CrossFit?
You don’t have to be in shape to start CrossFit. Have fun, do what you can, and take it one day at a time
